Radioun is operated by Akcelerix. This policy explains what information is processed when you use radioun.com or the Radioun Android application, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Radioun does not require an account to browse the directory or listen to a station. Please do not send sensitive personal information through search fields or by email.
Scope
This policy covers the Radioun website, the Radioun Android application, and communications sent to us. A radio station stream, an official station website, Google Play, or another external service is governed by that service's own policy once you leave Radioun.
Information processed on the website
When you use radioun.com, the following information may be processed:
- Technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser, device type, and operating system. This is used to deliver and protect the website and diagnose errors.
- Usage analytics through PostHog, including pages viewed, searches and search terms, station playback actions, stream errors, download clicks, language, theme, and campaign source. PostHog may assign an anonymous browser identifier and derive an approximate location from an IP address.
- Preferences stored on your device, including the selected theme and recent searches.
- When you follow a Google Play link, its campaign parameters identify radioun.com and the placement you clicked, such as the header, homepage, footer, or a station page.
Information processed in the Android application
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, the Android application and its service providers may process:
- App usage and playback events, selected stations, errors, app version, language, and general device information for analytics and reliability.
- Advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data through Google AdMob where advertising is displayed.
- A Firebase installation identifier and notification token when notifications are enabled, so Firebase Cloud Messaging can deliver notifications.
- Favorites and app preferences stored on your device. Radioun does not require an account for these features.
How information is used
We use the information described above to:
- Provide radio discovery, playback, localization, preferences, and app notifications.
- Understand which pages and features are useful and measure visits from website placements to Google Play.
- Detect failures, protect the services, and improve performance and content.
- Respond to messages, correction requests, and support enquiries you send us.
Cookies and local storage
The website uses browser local storage for your theme and recent searches. PostHog uses local storage and cookies by default to maintain an anonymous analytics identifier and understand visits over time.
You can clear or block this storage in your browser. Doing so may reset preferences and limit analytics, but the main directory and listening features should remain available.
Service providers
We use the following providers to operate and understand Radioun. They process information under their own terms and privacy documentation:
- PostHog — website and app product analytics, using PostHog's EU-hosted service.
- Google — Google Play distribution and attribution, and Google AdMob advertising in the Android app.
- Firebase — Firebase Cloud Messaging for app notifications.
Sharing and sale of information
Radioun does not sell personal information. Information is shared with the providers above only as needed to deliver, measure, secure, or support the services, or when required by law. Aggregate or de-identified statistics may be used to understand and communicate service performance.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, operational security, and legal obligations. Retention periods for information processed by PostHog, Google, and Firebase also depend on our service settings and their applicable policies. Local preferences remain on your device until you clear them or remove the application.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information. You may also:
- Clear or block website cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
- Disable notifications in Android settings and manage advertising choices through your device or Google settings.
- Contact us to make a privacy request. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant data.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children's privacy
Radioun is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
International processing
Our providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable, they use contractual, organizational, or other safeguards described in their privacy documentation.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Radioun, its providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version is published on this page with its revision date.
